Two jam-packed days all about us – the present and future of team DoveVivo.
Our company weekend, dedicated to everyone at DoveVivo, was held on 19 and 20 May at “La Torrazzetta” agriturismo in the province of Pavia.
We took part in outdoor activities, with just a few very clear rules: play hard, play safe, play fair and have fun!
The challenges were laid out before us, and everyone stepped up to lend a hand.
We started with a warm-up activity to get to know one another better in a more informal setting, putting our usual roles to one side, and finding out something unexpected about various members of the group. Then we came together, pooled our ideas and solutions in order to achieve our collective objectives. We managed to reach our goals by combining our motivation to get the job done, and the key to our approach was when somebody said “let’s mix things up!” That’s when we started to realise with both our heads and our hearts that we will always be stronger when we are united. We were blindfolded and put our trust in others, transporting balls to build our pipeline, standing firm despite the head wind, with great humility and tenacity.
Working as a closely-knit unit, everyone in the group contributed their own generosity and determination. And then came the spider’s web, which we tackled with vigour, caution and patience. Our team spirit helped us to overcome our fatigue right up until the final push. At the end, we had made it to the other side of the web, and metaphorically, we had taken our first step into the future. It was all for one, and one for all: for the sake of the team, and our future.
After an evening of well-deserved rest, we set our focus on our new headquarters, building prototypes for the space which will be dedicated to our wellbeing. A space for winding down, reflecting, playing, sharing a moment together and relaxing. We worked in three groups, firstly focusing on what each one of us wanted and envisaged, and then on how to bring all of these visions together to create an end product which embodied everybody’s wishes. Once again, with enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved, we combined our creative power with our pragmatism and a wish to get along well together. The practical result will be there for all to see in just a few weeks when we move to our new headquarters; we can’t wait to see our combined hopes and wishes become reality.
