What documents should I bring for check-in?
If you are an Italian or European citizen, you will need to present the following documents during your check-in:
- Identity document
- Italian Tax Code
- Receipts for all payments required for check-in (commitment deposit, security deposit and first instalment)
If you are a citizen from a non-European country or not part of the Schengen Agreement on Free Movement, you will need to submit the following documents:
- Passport
- Visa (where necessary)
- Residence permit or residence permit application
- Italian Tax Code
- Receipts for all payments required for check-in (commitment deposit, security deposit and first instalment)
The only valid and accepted Italian Tax ID is the one issued by the Revenue Agency, any other Italian Tax ID issued by websites not accredited by the latter won't be accepted.

What happens if I don't have all the required documents at check-in?
Our contracts are duly registered with the Italian Revenue Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate), so if you do not have all the required documents, unfortunately we will not be able to give you the keys to the flat. Please check in advance that you have all the documents with you and if you have any doubts, see the question "What documents should I bring for check-in?"
We inform you that in the absence of the Tax Code, DoveVivo will request it for you! You will have to sign a proxy when you check in and the cost for the practice is 60,00€ that will be charged on the first useful invoice. It will be strictly necessary to have with you a valid identity document, the receipts of the requested payments (as indicated on the quotation) and, if necessary, also a visa and residence permit (in the absence of the residence permit, the request will be sufficient).
